Men’s sexual health can be affected by conditions such as erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease or chronic pelvic pain syndrome. These symptoms can have an impact on a man’s sex life, self-confidence, physical wellbeing and quality of life.
We offer focal shockwave treatments using DUOLITH SD1 T-TOP Ultra technology, a non-surgical option designed to treat and alleviate certain intimate and urological problems.
Each treatment is prescribed following a personalised medical assessment, taking into account each patient’s symptoms, anatomy, medical history and needs. The treatment is planned according to the patient’s anatomy and health condition, regardless of their gender identity.

Conditions treated with focal shock waves
Erectile dysfunction
Non-surgical treatment for patients who have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, particularly where there is a vascular component.
Peyronie’s disease
Treatment using focal shockwave therapy for patients with penile curvature, fibrous plaques, or associated pain or discomfort.
Chronic pelvic pain
Treatment for persistent discomfort in the pelvic, genital or perineal areas, or associated with chronic prostatitis.

DUOLITH® SD1 T-TOP Ultra
Swiss Precision in Urological Medicine
Developed by STORZ MEDICAL, the DUOLITH® system is the gold standard in non-invasive regenerative treatments. Its focal technology concentrates acoustic energy directly on the vascular or cellular source of the problem, preventing superficial dispersion.
RADIAL SHOCK WAVES
Surface dispersion
energy
T-TOP ULTRA FOCAL SHOCK WAVES
Precise targeting at the tissue depth
Maximum Focal Accuracy
It targets the energy directly at the blood vessels or deep fibrous plaques, whilst protecting the surrounding healthy tissue.
Cell Regeneration
It naturally stimulates angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels) and reduces inflammation in the nerve endings.
Outpatient Efficiency
Quick 20–30-minute sessions at the clinic. No surgery, no anaesthesia and no disruption to your sex life or work.
Treatment
How is focal shockwave therapy carried out?
The treatment is carried out in the clinic. During the session, the specialist applies focal shock waves to the areas indicated, based on the patient’s diagnosis and symptoms.
The procedure is usually well tolerated and does not require anaesthesia in most cases. The number of sessions and their frequency are determined on an individual basis following a medical assessment.
Before starting treatment, the case is assessed, the symptoms are reviewed and it is determined whether Storz Medical DUOLITH is a suitable option. In some patients, this treatment may be combined with other medical measures to optimise the approach to the problem.
Indications
Focal shockwave therapy to improve erectile function
Treatment with focal shockwave therapy may be considered for patients with intimate or urological symptoms that affect sexual function, genital comfort or pelvic wellbeing.
Conditions that can be assessed during a consultation include:
• erectile dysfunction, particularly where there is a vascular component
• Peyronie’s disease or penile curvature with associated pain or discomfort
• chronic pelvic pain syndrome
• discomfort related to chronic prostatitis
• functional disorders affecting the quality of intimate life
The indication always depends on an individual medical assessment. Not all patients are suitable candidates for treatment, so it is important to investigate the cause of the symptoms before starting any treatment plan.
Erectile dysfunction
Restoration of vascular function
How does DUOLITH work?
The most common cause of erectile dysfunction is a lack of blood flow (vascular aetiology). Focal shockwave technology emits high-precision acoustic pulses that stimulate angiogenesis, that is, the formation of new microvessels in the corpora cavernosa, and release growth factors.
The result: The blood flow required to achieve and maintain a firm erection is restored naturally. By treating the root cause of the problem rather than just the symptom, the patient spontaneously regains functional response, reducing or eliminating their reliance on medication from the very first sessions.
Peyronie’s disease
Pain relief and tissue softening
How does DUOLITH work?
Penile curvature is caused by the formation of scar tissue or a rigid fibrous plaque in the tunica albuginea. The DUOLITH system directs acoustic energy directly into the depths of this plaque, helping to break down the hardened collagen fibres and drastically reducing the local inflammatory process.
The result: Provides fast and effective pain relief during the active phases of the condition. By softening and increasing the flexibility of the deep fibrous plaque, it helps to stabilise or reduce the curvature, improving the elasticity of the tissue to restore comfort and confidence during sexual intercourse.
Chronic Pelvic Pain and Prostatitis
Deep relief and reduction of inflammation
How does DUOLITH work?
Chronic pelvic pain syndrome involves persistent discomfort in the perineal, genital and urinary regions, which often becomes chronic due to deep muscle tension and nerve hypersensitivity. Focal shock waves penetrate the deep pelvic floor muscles, producing an immediate analgesic effect, relaxing myofascial trigger points and reducing inflammation in the nerve endings.
The result: It drastically reduces the intensity and frequency of pain in a non-invasive way. By restoring microcirculation and relaxing the pelvic area, the patient regains their general well-being, improving their daily activities, rest and urinary function.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are focal shock waves?
Focal shock waves are high-precision acoustic waves that are applied to specific areas of tissue. In men’s intimate health, they can be used in medical protocols to treat certain urological or sexual problems.
For which conditions might Storz Medical DUOLITH be recommended?
It may be considered for patients with erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease or chronic pelvic pain syndrome, always following an individual medical assessment.
Is the treatment effective for all cases of erectile dysfunction?
No. Erectile dysfunction can have various causes. Focal shockwave therapy is usually considered particularly when there is a vascular component, but each case must be assessed on an individual basis.
Can it help with Peyronie’s disease?
In certain cases, it may form part of the medical management, particularly where there is associated pain or discomfort. Whether it is indicated depends on the stage of the disease and the degree of curvature.
Is the treatment painful?
It is generally a well-tolerated procedure. Sensitivity may vary depending on the area being treated and the individual patient’s characteristics.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions depends on the diagnosis, the severity of the symptoms and the individual’s response. The treatment plan is determined following the initial medical assessment.
Do I need to rest after the treatment?
In most cases, the patient can resume their normal activities on the same day.
When do results start to show?
The response may vary depending on the individual patient and the condition being treated. In some cases, improvement may be gradual over the course of the sessions and in the weeks that follow.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes. In some cases, it may be combined with other medical, pharmacological or rehabilitation measures, depending on the specialist’s assessment.
Is it an operation?
No. Focal shockwave therapy is a non-surgical procedure that involves no incisions and does not require a hospital stay.
