H2: Buttock augmentation for a natural and enhanced silhouette
Madrid | Zurich
Buttock augmentation or Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) focuses on restoring volume and lifting the projection of the buttocks. Over time, the buttocks may lose volume due to factors such as lack of fat, skin elasticity, and decreased projection. To counteract this, silicone implants, fat transfer, or a combination of both techniques can be employed.
Thanks to modern technology and equipment, it is possible to achieve an attractive and harmonious silhouette with immediate and long-lasting results.

Buttock augmentation techniques: choose the right method for you
- Silicone Implants: Specially designed for the buttock area, these implants are inserted through minimal incisions, strategically placed in the gluteal crease to conceal scarring.
- Fat Transfer: Ideal for patients with available fat in other body areas. This fat is harvested via liposuction, processed, and then injected into the buttocks to enhance their shape and projection, providing a more aesthetic and natural contour.
- Combination of Both Techniques: In many cases, combining implants and fat transfer can yield even more customized results.

Implants and scars: types and placement explained
Each implant is made of cohesive silicone gel, featuring interlinked molecules for durability and guaranteed quality. The small incisions for implant placement are typically located in the gluteal fold or the sacral area, making scars practically invisible.
Scars resulting from liposuction and fat transfer are similarly minimal, promoting a discreet and aesthetically pleasing recovery process.

Post-operative care after buttock augmentation
After surgery, it is recommended to wear a compression garment for approximately 4 to 6 weeks. This helps manage swelling, protect the treated area, and avoid high-impact sports or strenuous activities during the recovery period.
Additionally, it is advisable to avoid placing direct pressure on the buttocks during the first 6 weeks, especially if fat grafting was performed. This measure helps ensure proper fat integration and long-lasting results.

Buttock Augmentation: Frequently Asked Questions
What options exist for buttock augmentation: fat transfer or implants?
We can enhance the buttocks with fat grafting (lipofilling/BBL), with implants, or with a combination of both. At Dr. Fakin’s practice the choice depends on your anatomy, fat availability and the result you wish to achieve.
What safety measures do we take during buttock augmentation?
Safety is our priority. We use controlled techniques, place fat only in the correct plane, and perform full preoperative testing. We also provide close follow-up care after surgery.
How does buttock augmentation affect sitting and sleeping?
During the first weeks we recommend avoiding prolonged direct pressure on the buttocks. Patients are advised to use cushions and to sleep face down or on the side, according to the instructions we provide.
How long do results last and how much fat survives?
It is normal for part of the fat to be reabsorbed. The portion that integrates remains stable long-term, while weight and lifestyle may influence the outcome. With implants, volume is predictable and durable.
How do we decide on the final buttock size and shape?
We assess torso–hip proportions, skin quality and fat availability, then define a realistic projection and contour. Our aim is always a harmonious, natural-looking silhouette.
