The labia majora form the most external part of the female intimate area and, besides providing protection, define the silhouette and configuration of the vulva. Their appearance varies among women, but typically, younger women tend to have fuller labia majora. However, aging of the labia majora is common and can lead to volume loss and sagging.
Lipofilling (fat grafting), with or without excess skin resection, allows us to transform and rejuvenate the labia majora by increasing their volume through injection of the patient’s own fat. This technique can also restore the vaginal cavity and may be combined with other intimate surgery procedures (e.g., labia minora reduction or pubic liposuction).
Lipofilling of the labia majora is a safe and effective procedure that offers the possibility of rejuvenating the genital area, producing natural and attractive results, and improving the patient’s quality of life.
Enhancing the labia majora with autologous fat is a procedure that increases their volume and firmness. Fat is harvested from various body areas, most commonly the thighs. We use specialized technology for lipotransfer, maximizing the quality of the micro-fat graft.
This is a minimally invasive intervention with no visible scars. Additionally, we can process nano-fat, a liquid rich in stem cells that, when injected into the skin, improves and rejuvenates the quality, texture, and color of the dermis.

Once the fat graft has integrated into its new location, the effects remain long-lasting. However, it’s important to remember that the aging process of the skin and tissue changes continue over time. Consequently, some patients choose to undergo touch-up procedures or optional treatments after 10-15 years.

Patients who undergo a lipofilling procedure for the labia majora and/or vagina should avoid excessive pressure or friction in the treated area for the first few weeks.
The procedure is safe, effective, and long-lasting, although a slight sensation of burning or irritation in the external genital area may occur. It is advisable to wear comfortable, loose-fitting underwear during the recovery period.
